You remember all the times RNG fucks you but consider all the times you win as a given, as if it were something you achieved with your own skill. You are attributing your losses to bad luck and your wins to skill when in reality it's a mix of both in both cases. RNG is what makes the game interesting for me. The 25% of the games where I am the luckiest person at the table and I just win are not very interesting games. I got good hands and played them out like a machine for free wins. Maybe I had to calculate a bit to make sure I don't throw, but without a big pressure to keep winning because you can afford a mangan tsumo here or there, it's just not interesting. Meanwhile the 75% of the games where I'm playing catch-up and getting screwed in various ways are much more enjoyable because I have to find the way that maximizes my odds in the game. Even if I get unlucky and all my completely correct plays ended in disaster, I can say that I had fun while calculating my outs as I go deeper into the pit.
