This also explains why she's asking "Where is Albireo"-- it's a binary star that was always looking at her. And now she has trapped it inside the box called a regular mahjong tourney. Yes, the one with the stars and the butterfly was the same. The thing grants her wish, a "friend" The whole Regular Tourney ritual was born from this incident. That's it for Regular Tourney Act 2. That's the explanation, it was all a cosmic horror story. About the letter from the OP picture. Yes, the TO's name is Maia. She was named after a star, which made her obsessed about stars.
