I discovered somthing incredible. You can talk to yourself inside your mind. I started doing it since last month and it has been extremely useful it even help while I am playing mahjong.

>>10983 And this is something people with aphantasia cannot do We talked about it in our friend circle a few years back and one of our friends was like "what the fuck are you guys talking about" and that's how we found out he doesn't have inner monologue and he can't visualize things in his mind

>>10988 Funny thing is I visualize things in my mind when I do stuff. But when I try to do it conciously it feels weird. Kinda like trying to breath calmly after being reminded that you're breathing.
>> No.10996
>>10989 I don't know, it comes naturally to me when I do some creative endeavors like writing or drawing. The bigger issue is copying the thing I can see in my mind onto paper if you know what I mean. Skipping appearance descriptions has been also my issue since I can visualize it in my mind and I don't see it as necessary when action and dialogue are the focus.

>>10983 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21126180/ >Consciousness seems especially useful for enabling behavior to be shaped by nonpresent factors and by social and cultural information, as well as for dealing with multiple competing options or impulses So, talking to yourself inside your head could help dealing with multiple choices, figures that practising this is useful for you. I also have developed some mental practises for playing mahjong myself, too
