they are basicaly useless a product that prays on ignorant users while offering very little outside of circumventing geoblocking

If you live in a first world country and want to torrent, or if you want to circumvent some geoblocking (Nips do this all of the time) then sure they might be worth it. Otherwise it's not worth it for the average user.

No they aren't. You can make your own VPNs by following tutorials on the internet, and the paid ones are scams collecting you data and waiting to sell it off in a far future.
